Oregon Basic and Intermediate Reporting System
Onsite Training

 

Foundational training for those new to using the COMPdata Reporting Tool or those who want a refresher course, and Intermediate training for more advanced COMPdata users.

Basic Training:

  • Benefits of COMPdata System
  • COMPdata Data Quality Feedback Reports
  • COMPdata Inpatient and Outpatient Count Reports
  • Operating the COMPdata System
  • Completing Selection Criteria Screen to Produce COMPdata Reports, Maps or Graphs
  • Identifying and Understanding COMPdata Reports
  • Identify the Benefits and Create a Pre-Defined Group
  • Know COMPdata Resources


Intermediate Training:

  • Review aspects of Basic Training
    • COMPdata Data Quality Feedback Reports
    • Inpatient and Outpatient Count Reports
    • Completing Selection Criteria Screen
  • Intensive Hands-on Application of the COMPdata Product to include:
    • Reviewing and Interpreting Market Reports, Finance Reports (General Charge), and Quality Reports (Refined DRG, Clinical Indicator)
    • Creating COMPdata Maps and Graphs
    • Creating Pre-defined Groups and understanding the advantage of using them in COMPdata Reports
    • Creating a Delimited Report
    • Creating a Specific Download Field List
       
 

Duration

  
Approximately 2 hours per each session. Basic and Intermediate sessions are held separately.
 
 

Training Dates and Times

  
Basic and Intermediate training is conducted only during scheduled trips to Oregon. Please email us to request a session in Oregon: compdataedu@ihastaff.org
 


For all training sessions, participants must register no later than seven (7) business days prior to the desired training date. Participants must be a COMPdata subscriber, per the contract, in order to attend. You must bring your log-in ID and password, as you will be operating the live version of COMPdata. All training materials will be provided at the training session.

You will receive an email verification after your registration has been approved. Your email address must be accurate in order to receive the confirmation and instructions.
